How to draw Genie
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Draw two ovals. A vertical one above and a horizontal one below.
STEP 2. Draw the torso and erase the excess.
STEP 3. Mark out the oval for the Genie's arms. Draw a tail at the bottom.
STEP 4. Divide the face with two lines. Draw the neck. Sketch the line of the arms. Make the shape of the tail more distinct. Mark the oval for the lamp. Erase all the excess.
STEP 5. Outline the eyes and beard. Form the arms. Add the belt. Detail the lamp from which the Genie flies out. Erase excess lines.
STEP 6. Draw the nose mouth and ears. Add eyebrows and a hair band. Outline the fingers and belly. Finish the shape of the lamp.
STEP 7. Draw a line for the tail on the head. Add a crease on the face and all over the body. Mark earrings. Detail the fingers. Outline the handle of the lamp.
STEP 8. Detail the hair and finish the nose. Add jewellery and folds all over the body. Outline the stars around it. Add detail to the lamp.
STEP 9. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour Genie, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
STEP 10. Colour in the picture and bring it to life. Enjoy your drawing.
